What are Nanocaps?
Nanocaps are a patented oral hairloss treatment available without prescription. The formulation is derived from neutraceutical ingredients which have been shown to protect against the negative effects of DHT.
The patented Nanocaps formula works in 2 ways:
Blocking 5-alpha-reductase
The 5AR enzyme is the agent responsible for converting Testosterone into a more potent form of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is damaging to the hair follicle and widely determined as one of the main causes of hairloss. Nanocaps block this enzyme from creating a reaction, thereby keeping DHT levels to a minimum.
Preventing DHT from damaging the hair follicle.
Any levels of DHT still present in the body are blocked from reaching and binding with the receptor sites in the hair follicle. This key intervention prevents the hair follicle from absorbing the DHT and deteriorating prematurely.

The patented formula used in Nanocaps contains key actives with known effects in the combat of hairloss. Its composition makes up (among other ingredients):
- Saw Palmetto Extract
inhibits 5-AR (therefore DHT)
- Pygeum Africanum Extract
inhibits 5-AR (therefore DHT)
- Utrica Dioica
stimulates healthy hair growth
- Green Tea Extract
gives natural anti-androgen effect
- Zinc combined with vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate)
only this correct form of vitamin B6 has been proven to inhibit hair loss when combined with Zinc
PATENTED FORMULA - US Patent 5,972,345
Nanocaps work in a very similar way to many prescription anti-hairloss drugs - blocking the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone by inhibiting the action of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme. BUT - other medicines like 'finasteride' or Propecia® (brand name) have been criticised heavily by many users because of the high incidence of side-effect reports such as problems with libido, maintenance of erections, acne, weight-gain, increased hairiness on the rest of the body and others.
Nanocaps work in a very similar way to many prescription anti-hairloss drugs - blocking the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone by inhibiting the action of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme.
Other treatments like 'finasteride' or Propecia® (brand name), pose a severe risk to the foetus of a pregnant women that adult females should not even handle the finasteride-containing tablet. This severe risk has meant that women could not benefit from anti-DHT technology until Nanoguard and Nanocaps were developed.
